The creators knew season four would be the last, so the finale 'Focus Grill' deliberately wraps up the kids' filmmaking and their friendships with a bittersweet, intentional conclusion. Nothing is left hanging on a cliffhanger. It's a rare example of a series that got to say goodbye properly.

Home Movies ran four seasons and, crucially, ended on its own terms with a proper finale rather than being abruptly cancelled. The show is a charming, well-regarded comedy whose central premise gets a genuine payoff. Its final episode is widely regarded as a satisfying send-off.
