NBC cancelled Heroes after season 4, and the finale ends with a major public reveal and a new threat teased, leaving many character arcs unresolved. The later Heroes Reborn did not resolve the original show's dangling plotlines.

Heroes was cancelled before its story reached a planned conclusion, and the final season leaves major threads open. It is best approached as an unfinished series rather than one with a satisfying payoff.
