The finale resolves the fsociety plot, Whiterose's project, and Elliot's identity arc, ending with him waking to a quiet, bittersweet reconciliation with Darlene. The late twist reframing what we've been watching is divisive for some, but it lands as an intentional, complete ending rather than a dodge. Overall the story closes on its own terms.

The series ran four seasons and concluded with an ending that was widely praised by critics and audiences for resolving its central mysteries and delivering genuine emotional closure. It's frequently cited as one of the stronger finales of its era, so the journey pays off.
