The series finale 'Carry On' gives both brothers real closure: Dean's death in the final hunt and Sam's full life before their heaven reunion land as a bittersweet but fitting end. While the final seasons are uneven and the ending divides fans, it resolves the core story deliberately rather than leaving threads dangling. The journey there, especially seasons 1–5, makes the investment worthwhile.

A long-running series that received a planned, definitive conclusion rather than a cancellation or cliffhanger. The early seasons are widely considered genre highlights, and the show earns its emotional payoff by the end. Worth the commitment for fans of monster-of-the-week horror with strong brotherly chemistry.
