The show was designed with a fixed endpoint, and the finale 'Whenever You're Ready' wraps up the afterlife experiment, the characters' moral arcs, and Eleanor's journey in a heartfelt, conclusive way. Nothing is left on a cliffhanger, making the full run genuinely rewarding.

The series ran four seasons and concluded on its own terms with a planned, deliberate finale rather than cancellation. All major storylines reach a resolution, and the ending is widely regarded as satisfying. It's a complete story from start to finish.
